Speaking Engagements

The internet seems to be an indispensable promotional tool for just about anyone running a business these days. However, business owners often need to seek practical advice on how to set up and use their website. More importantly, they need to be sure that the money spent will show a return on investment. We have developed presentations on the following two topics:

Creating a Website: Where do I start and when does it end?
This presentation is geared towards helping small businesses (such as breeding farms, training operations, and boarding facilities) find out what's involved in putting together their own website. Whether they work with a professional or do it themselves, they'll gain a better understanding of the following topics: how to plan a website and ideas for content; best practices for photography; technical processes involved in setting up websites; how to compare prices when shopping for web services; and how to research their allies and competitors online.

So You Have a Website: Now What?
Many small businesses create a website without a clear idea of what they want it to do for them. Or, they have a good idea of the results they want, but aren't sure if they're pursuing the best strategies to get those results. This session will help business owners answer the following questions: where a website fits into an overall marketing strategy; what to expect a website to do for your business; what kinds of goals to set and how to monitor those goals; what to expect from search engine rankings; and strategies you can use to promote your website and gain more traffic.

Presentations can include hand-outs for participants containing key points of the presentation and links to further resources available on the web. For more information, please contact us for details.
